Photographer & Artist
Victims of success…
Hello! My name is Will Hollis and I’m a conservation photographer from the Midlands. Whilst my main focus behind my work is conservational awareness, I am also a fine art and minimalist photographer. The meaning behind my work is to help awareness campaigns by using a more artistic style, as I want to avoid desensitization to stories that need a voice.
My work is influenced by many mixed disciplinaries of artists and creators and include; Francisco de Goya, Sebastião Salgado, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Hayao Miyazaki and Christopher Nolan.
My current project is on deer management in the UK, which will focus on the problems we face with the rising deer population and what the future may hold. The title for this project is “Victims of Success” inspired by the story of Icarus and Daedalus. I will be exhibiting a photobook and a range of prints based on my current project on deer management in the UK.
